Is TradeLens really free?▾

Yes. The full dashboard — trade logging, metrics, equity curve, exports — is free forever. The free version is supported by ads. If you want the AI features or an ad-free experience, Pro is $10 per year.

Do I need an account?▾

No. The free dashboard works without an account — your trades save automatically in your browser. You only need to sign up if you want Pro (for AI analysis or cloud sync across devices).

Where is my data stored?▾

On your device, in your browser's local storage. We don't see your trades, we don't have a database of your performance. If you clear your browser data, your trades go too — so make sure to export a backup file regularly. Pro users get cloud sync as an option.

How does the AI chart analysis work?▾

You upload a screenshot of your trade (showing entry, TP, and SL). AI reads the chart, identifies candle patterns near your entry, detects whether price hit TP or SL, and writes a short coaching note explaining what worked and what to improve. After a few trades, it can also surface patterns across your whole journal — for example "your wins tend to come from pullback entries, your losses tend to come from chasing breakouts."

What markets does it work for?▾

Anything where you take measurable trades with a defined risk and target — forex, indices, gold, crypto, stocks, futures, options. The R:R model works the same across all of them.
